 Review:

These are DELICIOUS! My mom, my boyfriend and I all loved these! The recipe is really creative and they are really easy to make. My only complaint is that it calls for coconut oil which is really expensive and a bit out of my usual grocery budget. I will definitely make these many more times and try to find a cheaper substitution for the coconut oil. 

For only $1.50 for this recipe you can't go wrong!

Unbelievably Delicious Vegan Brownie Balls

 

 Review:

This recipe is incredibly fast and easy to make. It calls for a lot of cocoa powder and the end result is quite strong. This is a great recipe for only $1.50 but I would recommend using much less cocoa powder than what it calls for. She delivered both recipes to me by e-mail really quickly and I had no problem using the recipes.

Etsy Haul: The After Dark Apothecary

I recently ordered from this wonderful Etsy shop: The After Dark Apothecary.

Here is everything I got with fragrance descriptions from the site:

• Burlesque Beauty Silky Body Spray 2 oz. - A haunting blend of coconuts, coconut milk, and peaches.
• Miss Independence Silky Body Powder 3oz. - A wicked blend pomegranate, strawberry, pear, orange, coconut, vanilla and musk
• Black Widow Whipped Soap 4 oz. - A wicked blend of chocolate, fudge and vanilla.
• My Sweet Poison Hand Lotion 1 oz. - A wicked blend of soft woods, florals, citrus, tropical fruits and patchouli.
• Secret Confessions Whipped Soap Sample - A wicked blend of chocolate, raspberry, fudge, vanilla, cream and white chocolate
• Wicked Wench Whipped Soap Sample - A wicked blend of vanilla, honey, cinnamon, oatmeal, clove, chocolate, and mint cream

Burlesque Beauty is a beautiful sweet coconut fragrance. The perfume last a very long time but without being too overwhelming.

Miss Independence body powder smells amazing, fruity and feminine. The powder is incredibly smooth and makes my skin super soft. Its also very hot here right now and it manages to keep me dry all day.

The whipped soaps are really great! Very creamy and they all smell wonderful! BLACK WIDOW smells so good you want to eat it! WICKED WENCH smells super good and for some reason reminds me of Christmas. SECRET CONFESSIONS smells so pretty. It is one of my favorites! Bathing with these is like heaven! I use a small amount at a time because I want to savor it and it goes incredibly far!

The hand lotion is amazing! It makes my skin so super soft and the softness lasts a very long time! The 1 oz. size is perfect to keep in your purse but there are also larger sizes available. MY SWEET POISON is a gorgeous fragrance! It is super sexy. The fragrance lasts all day.

PRICES:
The prices are all really reasonable! Also be sure to check out the sale section for some great bargains. You can also purchase samples to try out a bunch of different fragrances to find your favorites.

SHIPPING:
Shipping was insanely fast! I got my package just 3 days after ordering! Everything was really well packaged and the shipping rate was affordable.

I will be going back for more and when I do I'll do another post to let you know what I think of those fragrances!

I recently purchased from the new Fresh as a Daisy line found at: Blue Daisy By Dawn

Here is what I got:

• Venus Raspberry Bubble Bath 2 oz. 
• Body Quench in Watermelon Kiwi 2 oz.
• Hathor unscented Makeup Remover 2 oz. 

The Venus bubble bath smells really good and is very affordable!

The Body Quench is wonderful for keeping cool during the hot summer and for hot flashes. I got to smell both fragrances and they both smell really pretty. The other fragrance is Aloe Cucumber. I chose the Watermelon because it happens to be one of my favorite scents (and fruits).
Description: 
Quench is made from herb extracts and essential oils....with no rosemary so if you're pregnant and going through this heat it is safe for you too. I kept 1 by the the bed, 1 in my purse and another in the living room. Spray it on like any body mist...back of the neck, across your chest and on your wrists. This special blend cools instantly and tames your bodies thermostat.

The Hathor makeup remover works really well! If you have ever used my eye shadow and especially my primer then you know how hard it is to remove. This stuff does the trick!

Nail Polish - Now Available in the Shop!

 We are super excited to announce we are now selling nail polish! We have 47 colors created. They are all vegan friendly, non-toxic and super pigmented so you can apply them in just one coat! For Charity!

We are very excited to announce the launch of a new section in our shop! In this section will be selling select items and the proceeds from these items will be donated to charity at the end of year each year.

How much will be donated?
40% of the proceeds from each sold listing will be donated!

Will these items cost more?
Yes, but not 40% more! We will be selling eye shadows (regularly the low price of $4) for $5 and donating 40% to charity!

What charities will we donate to?
We are planning to split the donations (assuming we earn a lot) between different animal related and women's causes. We are planning to donate the proceeds from the Garfield eye shadow to organizations like the SPCA and our local animal shelter. We also plan to donate the proceeds from the Baby Doll eye shadow to breast cancer charities. If there are any great charities or women's/animal shelters you know of that you would like us to consider please let us know by leaving a comment on this post or emailing us at Adorbeautysupplies at yahoo.com

At the end of the year (In Dec. of 2012) I will announce how much was earned and which charities it went to. We'll also be donating books to the local library and supplies to the local animal shelter.

New Lip Tints and Introducing Lip Glaze

We have made new Lip Tint colors and are now using a new formula for a lip product that we are calling Lip Glaze.

Our new lip glaze is a jelly made mostly from oils and a little bit of wax. Where our lip tints are made mostly from mango butter and oil giving it a soft balm feel. Both will soften and heal your lips. Lip glazes taste a little more planty and natural. Glazes are softer and easier to apply. Both are great products and preference is totally personal.

Ingredient Info:

New softer formula for Lip Tint ingredients in roughly this order. Formula varies per color and some or all ingredients may be used.
Ingredients: Mango Butter, Safflower oil (rich with vitamin E), Mica, Candellila Wax, stevia, lip liquid dye, flavor oil, vitamin e.   

Lip Glaze formula (some or all may be used in any particular color order may not be accurate with each color)
Ingredients: Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil (a thick oil that can soften skin), Cooernica Cerifera (Carnauba wax) a plant based wax, Candellila wax (a vegan alternative to beeswax), Mica, Stevia, flavors, dyes, vitamin E.




We're experimenting with both formulas and will eventually primarily use the more popular of the two.

 We're also creating a lovely Rose color, some bronzes, golds and maroons. A few dark shades like Eternal Kiss but with blue and green undertones. We are also planning to bring back the popular (but currently out of stock) Rendezvous color as a lip glaze.

Lafayette is a fun bright fuchsia purple that will especially POP on darker skin tones. This is one our first Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood inspired items. I loved the fuchsia eye shadow Lafayette was wearing to match his shirt in an episode of season 4 and had to make a color like it!

Along with Lafayette we are also creating other new BRIGHT colors like: Goddess a lovely rich gold color. Garfield: A bright orange. We already have so many lovely earth tones and now I want to spice it up with some more bright fun colors! Our current brightest colors: Tropical Surf, Blue Box, Pisces, Green Apple and Cancer the Crab.With our new additions we will soon have a whole rainbow of bright eye shadows from red to purple.

Orianna and Caitlyn some of our first League of Legends inspired eye shadow colors. Caitlyn eye shadow is a lovely purple with a crystal sparkle to match her pretty dress and Orianna is a soft pale gold very similar to the gold on the Clockwork Girl herself. League of Legends is currently one of my favorite PC games. Its incredibly fun and free! All of the makeup I make inspired by LoL will be for some of my favorite champions! Caitlyn is one of my favorite AD Carries and I plan to buy a new skin for her very soon. And Orianna though hard and underrated is a mage I enjoy so much that I got the Sewn Chaos skin for her.
